*** Mark Furnas, Director of the Billboard Song Contest, called Stephen by telephone and informed him that his song, "When He Comes Home To Her," was voted #1 Country Song for Billboard's 2006 World Songwriting Contest. Mark congratulated Stephen for writing the #1 Country song for the entire contest.

2007 TOP 5 for April - VH-1 Song of the Year Contest
*** Stephen's won another award from VH-1 in the country category. In April, 2007, his song "Picture Hanging On The Wall," co-written with Jeff Murray, placed in the Top 5 out of all entries. This is the 4th month in a row Stephen has had a song receive an award from VH-1 for songwriting.
2007 Music Aid Awards - Runner Up
Stephen was selected as a runner-up in the best songwriter category for the United States by the 2007 Music Aid Awards. He's pleased because the overall 2007 winner was the 2007 U.S. Winner, meaning Steve was only one-step away from the absolute TOP!!!
